Aurélien M. (victim)

When the war in Ukraine broke out, Aurélien M. was living in Hostomel, about thirty kilometers from Kyiv, with his wife. Russian forces arrived in Hostomel, and Aurélien M. and his wife witnessed bombings and were unable to escape. Families trying to escape by car were machine-gunned. They were deprived of water and electricity. On March 1, their house was bombed. Aurélien M. and his wife managed to escape in mid-March in a convoy.

Amnesty International France recalls that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty according to law.
